Having the proof copy of my book proves I actually finished it. It’s been a long process involving a lot of research but I’m closing in on the finish line. It’s nearly Spring and it’s nearly publication time.

I thought my research ended with the final chapter of the book but I was wrong. It turns out I had to research a few other things like book categories, genre, ISBNs, and how to put a cover together.

Then there were the nuances of compiling the finished book for paperback and e-book publication. It’s been quite the education. It turns out you can teach an old dog a couple of new tricks.

Just a final check on the proof copy, a few minor adjustments on the cover, and one last read through with a new set of eyes and it’ll be ready for prime time.
